Ashlee Powers, representing Cal Coast Track Club, repeated as women's 5-kilometer champion in 17:44.8 at the 35th Cal State Fullerton Mark Covert Classic at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, Calif. Powers became the first back-to-back women's winner since former Loyola Marymount standout Grace Zamudio in 2013-14 and only the fourth female athlete in meet history to repeat, along with Arizona star Amy Skieresz Wilson in 1996-97 and Cal State Fullerton graduate Heather Killeen in 1993-94.
